CNS Sisterhood
Sisterhood is an integral part of synagogue life, serving alongside other congregation committees to provide meaningful programming and opportunities for women to come together, create friendships and make a difference. We welcome women of all ages and offer various ways to get involved. We have monthly meetings with an interfaith group and our book discussion group. Our Tikum Olum project has been collecting clothing, hygiene items, and bedding for Transition Projects which helps people in need.
Our Sisterhood also runs the synagogue Judaica Shop through volunteer “woman-power” and our proceeds help to support the synagogue through scholarships to the religious school as well as other financial support to the synagogue. We are affiliated with the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism. We support the five Conservative Seminaries around the world for the education of Rabbis, Cantors, and Jewish Educators through Torah Fund donations.
Sisterhood welcomes all who identify as women as well as those who identify as transgender, gender-queer, non-conforming, or non-binary.
Membership dues to Sisterhood are $36.00 per year and new synagogue members receive a one-year complimentary membership, along with discounts in the gift shop.
