Daily Minyan: An Urgent Call for Support

Our daily Minyan has been one of the unique aspects of what Neveh Shalom provides our congregants and the community. We are the only egalitarian Minyan between San Francisco and Seattle. With pride I have often remarked that I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times that we did not gather a Minyan, a minimum of 10 Jewish adults. Recently, due to illness and travel, we have been struggling. Rather than our usual 14-20 individuals who gather each morning we have been one or two short. The minyan is a service we provide for those in mourning needing to say Kaddish and those wanting to pray with the community. Yesterday we had guests from Cleveland who were mourning the loss of their son. Thankfully we were able to provide them with a Minyan.

We need your help. Please consider designating one day a week or a specific day each month to join our Minyan. Simply your presence is a great Mitzvah. Other than this coming week during Sukkot when the Minyan meets at 7am, the Minyan gathers at 7:15am. During regular weeks the service is no longer than half an hour to 45 minutes.
