7th-12th graders at Neveh Shalom stay engaged in Jewish learning and social life through our ALIYAH Tichon program on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:30pm. Core classes allow students to stay with their grade and engage in high-level conversation about important topics from a Jewish lens, whether historical (world Jewry, Israel, Holocaust) or contemporary (current events, social ethics, inter-religious relations). Beginning Hebrew, or its equivalent level of mastery, is a prerequisite for this class. Overcome the barrier to your Shabbat service participation. Join a small group and attentive teacher to focus on the “how” and “why” of the major prayers of the Shabbat morning service, prayer concepts and choreography, and practicing words and tunes until you are more comfortable joining in.
