Join your friends for an afternoon of hands-on learning & fun at Experiment PDX in Southeast Portland. \nBring your own lunch to snack on after school. Build-your-own sandwich lunches will be available in the Atrium directly after ALIYAH for an additional cost per person. \nTransportation is not provided. We will meet at the museum at 1pm. This event goes until 3pm\, but feel free to stay as short or long as suits your needs. \nAbout Experiment PDX: \nHands-On Science & Art \nOur interactive science museum gives kids\, families and adults the opportunity for ‘playful learning\,’ a way to have fun while being reminded of just how amazing the world is. \nFrom the physics of our marble runs\, electrical circuits and lego robotics to the biology of mantises and microscopic organisms\, the museum is an accessible science playground where you can escape screens and schedules for an afternoon of ‘awe.’ \nWe also have an open crafting station\, where you can drop in\, use our supplies\, get some inspiration – and spend a fun afternoon creating\, either by yourself or as a family. \nWe usually have a ‘featured craft\,’ or you can do your own thing…wherever your imagination takes you. \nCost is $10 per person. \n** PLEASE NOTE: Due to museum space & staffing\, registration is limited to Chaverim 15 kids & 15 parents. Please only register one parent per kid. We regret that we will not be able to accomodate older silblings at this event. \n**Last day to register will be THURSDAY Nov 6. This hilarious live performance by comic storyteller and professional Jew\, Phoebe Potts\, follows her as she tries\, fails\, and eventually succeeds to adopt a baby:\n\nAfter a U.S. adoption goes horribly wrong\, Potts finds herself surprised\, disgusted\, and ultimately resigned to the role she plays as a middle class white lady in the business of adopting babies in the US and internationally.\n\nPotts’ tragicomic journey is about looking for more: more love\, more life\, more family\, and she will do anything to get it\, including having her morals and values fold in on themselves.\n\nView the trailer here.\n\nThis performance is suitable for ages 14+
