Help us be fully prepared for whatever may come our way over the next 50 years.
CNS is a Red Cross-designated emergency shelter for our neighborhood. Our school classrooms are outfitted for emergency lock-downs or evacuations, but, our congregation as a whole is not equipped in case we need to shelter a large number of people (children, congregants, or neighbors) for days or weeks. In order to be more fully prepared, we are collecting supplies for clean water, healthful food, and bedding, as well as creating space to store these resources on our campus.
We’ve spent time finding:
Food: kosher-ingredient, vegetarian, GF, and nut-free products for an overnight or an extended stay.
Water: Fresh drinking water plus filtration systems in barrels and boxes for indoor and outdoor use.
Shelter: Comfortable fleece, protective mylar, and sturdy wool blankets for every season.
