In the early 1950’s, Rabbi Stampfer established a preschool at Ahavai Shalom that would become the Foundation School, opening the door for young families to connect to Jewish learning, identity, and community. At a pivotal moment in American Jewish life, this program helped shape lifelong relationships and connection to Jewish life and synagogue.

For generations, Foundation School has nurtured children’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth while fostering a strong, positive Jewish identity. Rooted in tradition and responsive to evolving needs, it continues to serve as a welcoming “micro-community” for both children and parents-building meaningful connection that last a lifetime.
